Louise ‘Tina’ Christine Crawford Gramling

THOMASVILLE — Services for Louise ‘Tina’ Christine Crawford Gramling, 88, of Thomasville, are at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 5, 2014, at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Bishop Ben Smith will officiate. Interment will be at Waukeenah Methodist Church cemetery in Monticello, Fla.  Ms. Gramling was born on March 5, 1926 in Baldwin County, Ga..  She was the daughter of the late J.W. Crawford and Minnie Will Giles Crawford. She was married to the late Dailey ‘Doc’ Inman Gramling. Tina started her career off by doing airplane fabrication during the war. She also began to learn the business of sheet metal, where she could put together any type of sign. Tina was an excellent fast-pitch softball player. At the age of 16, she was offered a contract to play professional fast-pitch.  She coached in the community and at the Rec Center for many years. If there were no athletics on television to watch, she would turn on a John Wayne Old Western movie. Survivors include daughter, Dale Graham of Thomasville; son, Daily ‘Buddy’ and Debra Gramling of Mooresville, N.C.; grandchildren, Oby and Christa Graham, Chrissy and James Mann; great-grandchildren, Connor Graham, Sophie Graham, J.D. Mann; nieces, Shirley Scanlan, Linda Perkins, Billie Jo Christie. She was preceded in death by her sister, Frances Crawford; and her brother J.W. “Bo” Crawford Jr.; and her niece Frances Crawford. Memorial donations can be made to Thomasville-Thomas County Humane Society, 180 Big Star Drive, Thomasville, Ga. 31757. Her visitation will be held before the service from 10 to 11 a.m., at Allen & Allen Funeral Home chapel.
