Howard Preston McMillon

— Services for Howard Preston McMillon, 72, of Ochlocknee, will be held Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Springhill Christian Church. The Rev. Harold Thomas and Jeff Brooks will officiate, and interment will be at the church cemetery. Mr McMillon passed away at his residence on Sunday, June 15, 2014. Born in Thomas County on Dec. 7,1941, to the late Howard McMillon and Viola Barkesdale McMillon. On Oct. 13,1962, he married Ann Jones McMillon, of Ochlocknee, who survives. Other survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Penny and Ricky Snipes, of Meigs; son and daughter-in-law, Curtis and Yvonne McMillon, of Ochlocknee, daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Donnie Godwin, of Tampa, Fla.; sister, Jessi Dowdy; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and two sisters. — Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home.
