Ralph ‘Ray’ Ross Jr.

THOMASVILLE — Services for Ralph ‘Ray’ Ross Jr., 48, of Thomasville, are at 1 p.m., July 19, 2014, at Celebration Church, 5413 Hwy. 319 South, Thomasville. Pastor Marcus Everett, Rivers of Life Evangelistic Center in Thomasville, will officiate. Interment is in Peaceful Rest Cemetery. Pallbearers are members  of the 1985 class of Thomasville High School. Honorary pallbearers are relatives and friends. Mr. Ross died July 11 at Archbold Hospital. Born March 19, 1966, in Tampa, Fla., he was a son of Ralph Ross Sr. and Clara M. Ross. He graduated in 1985 from Thomasville High School, a truck driver for Georgia Crate and Basket Company and a member of Rivers of Life Evangelistic Center. Survivors include his mother, Clara Ross of Thomasville; father, Ralph Ross Sr.  of Thomasville; a son, Ralph “Ray Ray” Ross III of Thomasville; daughters, Tamiko (Ladeldrick) Williams of Thomasville, Teniah Lurry of Jacksonville, Fla., Tayshawn Lurry of Albany, Morgan Davis of Valdosta, Nyjeria McLaurin, Kayla McLaurin both of Thomasville; stepdaughters, Cortesia Jordan of Albany, Dontisia McClatchey of Valdosta; stepson, Ian Garrett of Thomasville; sisters, Kathy (Benjamin) Brown of Thomasville, Linda Ross-Walton of McDonough, Ga., Sabrina (Jimmy) Macklin of Thomasville, Destiny Davis of Thomasville; 11 grandchildren; seven aunts, Amelia Henry of Miami, Fla., Isabel (Thomas) Shuler of Miami, Fla., Sandra Wilson of Tallahassee, Fla., Mable Johnson of Thomasville, Christine (Edgar) Ford of Thomasville, Helen (Nathan) Reynolds of Miccosukee, Fla., Johnnie M. Ross of Thomasville; four uncles, Jack Davis of Miami, Fla., Robert (Inell) Davis of Miami, Jessie Ross of Thomasville, the Rev. Charlie (Minnie) Ross of Thomasville; six great-aunts, Juanita Davis, Alean Ross, Bernice (LC) Ross, Dorothy Ross, Peggy Ross, Bessie Mae Hill; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives; and a very special devoted friend and caregiver, Cindy C. Cook and Melvin Carr. John 14:1-3. The family will fellowship today from 5 to 8 p.m., at Rivers of Life Evangelistic Center. The viewing is from 3 to 8 p.m., today at the funeral home and from 11 a.m., until the funeral hour Saturday at the church. — Hatcher-Peoples Funeral Home
