Emily Faye Thompson

THOMASVILLE — Funeral services for Emily Faye Thompson, 55, of Thomasville will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Metcalf.  Rev. Marvin Thompson will officiate services with interment to follow at Mitchell Cemetery, Metcalf-Beachton Rd.  Pallbearers will be members of the Thomasville High School Class of 1977.  Mrs. Thompson was  born in Thomasville to the late Corrine and Sam Thompson.  She was a member of the Salvation Army Church of Thomasville and a graduate of Thomasville High School Class of 1977.  She would go on to work as a Private Duty Nurse until her retirement.  Mrs. Thompson was a resident of Thomasville for 55 years and she departed this life on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Archbold Memorial Hospital.  Survivors to cherish her memory include her daughter Rokita Faye Coes; granddaughter McKenzie Rakiyah Coes; brothers Earl Jerome Thompson (Darlene), Walter Lewis Thompson, Larry Doby Thompson, Sr. (Doris), Sam Thompson, Jr. (Linda), Pastor Terry Scott (Veronica) and Rev. Marvin Thompson all of Thomasville; beloved niece Teresa Thompson Holland; devoted nephews Sharron Thompson and Donalvin Thompson all of Thomasville; uncle James Jones of Moultrie; devoted friend Richard Coes of Thomasville and a host of other relatives and friends.  Visitation will be held on Friday, February 7, 2014 from 12 Noon until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. — Hatcher-Peoples Funeral Home
