Sarah M. Walker

THOMASVILLE — Funeral services for Sarah M. Walker, 97, of Thomasville will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at St. John A.M.E. Church, Main St., Boston.  Rev. Dellise Cox will officiate services with interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery.  Mrs. Walker was born on January 1, 1917 in Boston to the late William and Dolly Hooker Tillman.  She was a member of Trinity Missionary Baptist Church and attended the Thomas County School System.  Mrs. Walker departed this life on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville.  Survivors to cherish her memory include her cousins Eric Gregory Howard (Irene) and children Raven, Antwon, and Eric, Jr. all of Boston and Ervin Curtis Hooker (Debra) of Boston; Valrie Johnson, Veronica and Jaron of Gainesville, FL; special uncle David Coffee of Belle Glade, FL; extended family Lottie Howard and children; and the members of the Trinity Missionary Baptist Church and other friends in Boston and Thomasville.  Visitation will be from on Friday, February 7, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  The remains will lie instate at the church from 8:30 a.m. until the funeral hour with no viewing after the eulogy. — Hatcher-Peoples Funeral Home
