Margaret Smith Collins

THOMASVILLE — Graveside services for Margaret Smith Collins of Thomasville were at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at Sunset Memorial Gardens . The Rev. Morris Nichols and Charlie Smith officiated. Mrs. Collins died Sunday, June 1, at Archbold Medical Center.  Born May 18, 1937 in Thomasville, she was a daughter of the late  Theodore Jackson Smith and Rosa Lee Clark (deceased). On April 28, 1964, in Thomasville, she married Sam A. Collins Sr. who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and a member of Northside Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Sam A. Collins Jr. (April) of Thomasville; grandson, Trey Collins of Thomasville; granddaughter, Anna Collins of Thomasville; sister, Frances Nichols (Morris) of Thomasville; and brothers, Charlie Smith (Joy) and Cecil Smith (Shirley) all of Atlanta. She was preceded in death by infant son, Stephen Ashley Lipham; and brother, Jack Smith. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Thomas University.
