Richard Lamar ‘Buddy’ Hayes

— Funeral services for Richard Lamar “Buddy” Hayes, 63, of Thomasville will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at The Connection Church.  Kevin Lamb and Rev. Mack Luke will officiate services.  Mr. Hayes was born on February 2, 1950 in Quitman to the late L.C. Hayes and Katholine Wade.  He was a member of The Connection Church, worked as a Self-Employed Contractor, and enjoyed playing golf at Country Oaks in his free time.  Mr. Hayes departed this life on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Archbold Memorial Hospital.  Survivors to cherish his memory include his daughter Melissa Lamb (Kevin) of Tampa, FL; granddaughter Hannah Lamb of Tampa, FL; brother Charles Hayes (Jean) of Monticello, FL; sister Joyce Oliver of Thomasville; 6 nieces and nephews; 15 great nieces and nephews.  Sign the Register book online at — Whiddon-Shiver Funeral Home
