Willis Jackson Jr.

THOMASVILLE — Willis Jackson, Jr. was born in Opa-Locka, FL on June 11, 1951.  He was the son of Rev. Willis Jackson, Sr. (deceased) and Katie Mae Jackson.  He was the first born son.  Willis attended Miami Northwestern Senior High School  As a young man, he enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1973 where he served as a U.S. Army Specialist.  He earned a National Defense Service Medal for his service.  After his honorable discharge from the Army, he was employed by Miller Machinery as a truck driver for 20 years.  After retiring from Miller Machinery, Willis worked another 10 years as a truck driver for Daily Food Bank.  In 1980, Willis met the love of his life Victoria Jackson and to this wonderful union the Father graced them with 33 years of marriage.  In 2011 Willis accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.  On December 21, 2013 our beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, Uncle, Brother, Brother-in-law, Cousin and Friend was transcended from this life to be with our Heavenly Father.  He leaves to cherish his memories, wife, Victoria Jackson, one son, Calvin Tucker; five daughters, Sabrina Jackson-Bradshaw, Quagina Jackson-Serphy, Tashara Jackson, Amanda Jackson and Chalonda Jackson; nine grandchildren, Zachary Jackson, Zakeya Jackson, Zakeythia Jackson, Jeffrey Lott, Jr., Jenaisha LOtt, Joidanae Serphy, Frantz Serphy, Jr., Jayden Tucker and Serenity Ivey; great-grandchild Zachary Jackson, Jr.; siblings, Loretta Spence, Laymon Jackson (deceased), America Thompson, Levie Jackson, Bernard Jackson, Herbert Jackson, Deborah Brown, Barbara Ham, Kenneth Jackson (deceased); and a host of nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Victory Fellowship Church, 19150 Hwy. 19 N., Thomasville at 11:00 a.m.  Rev. Jamie Nunnally, Pastor,  Rev. Larry Nunnally, officiating.  Family and friends are asked to assemble at 10:00 a.m. at 424 Young St., Thomasville for the processional.  Viewing will be held from 12 Noon until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  — Hadley’s Funeral Home
