JoAnn Spence Tyson

THOMASVILLE — Graveside services for JoAnn Spence Tyson, 63, of Meigs will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 27, 2013 at Liberty Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.  Rev. Stacey West will officiate services.  Mrs. Tyson was born on December 28, 1949 in Mitchell Co. to the late Paul Harrison and Rosalyn Harpin Spence, Sr.  Mrs. Tyson was a member of Hinsonton Bapitst Church.  She was married to Mr. John Michael Tyson and during her life she worked as an office manager until her retirement.  Mrs. Tyson departed this life on Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at Archbold Memorial Hospital.  Survivors to cherish her memory include her husband John Michael Tyson of Meigs; children Tonya Hatcher of Pelham, Michael Lawson (Jodi) of Thomasville, Jeb Tyson (Lindsay) of Statesboro; grandchildren WIlliam Hatcher, Christy Hatcher, Alicia Tyson, Megan Tyson, Makayla Tyson and Spence Tyson; great-grandchildren Noah Hatcher and Serenity Hatcher; sister Donna Blaney (Terry) of Gainesville, FL; sister-in-law Margie Spence of Camilla and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents Paul Harrison and Rosalyn Harpin Spence, Sr; brothers Paul Spence, Jr., Chris Spence and Steve Spence.  In lieu of flowers, please makes donations to the American Cancer Society, c/o Frieda Warren, 5426 GA Hwy. 262, Pelham, GA 31779.  To share you deepest sympathies and fondest memories, sign the online register book www.jamerson-braswell.com — Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home
