Jack Lavern Blough

THOMASVILLE — Funeral services for Jack Lavern Blough, 87, of Cairo, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at Barnett’s Creek Baptist Church, Cairo, GA.  Rev. Glenn Scoggin and Rev. Steve Golden will officiate.  Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Cairo, GA.  Mr. Blough passed away at his son’s home in Cairo, GA, on Saturday, January 11, 2014. Active pallbearers will be Billy Willis, Darrell Johnson, Frank Hart, Ron Ellis, Todd Ferrell and Tom Kimmel.  Mr. Blough was born in Hastings, Michigan, on July 22, 1926, to the late Jesse Blough and Doris Belson Blough.  He served his country in the U. S. Army.  On March 19, 1947, he married Ethel Brooks Blough, who preceded him in death on August 15, 2007.  He retired from Bolton-Emerson.  He was a member of Barnett’s Creek Baptist Church.  Survivors include: sons, Willis L.Blough (Gracie) of Oceanside, CA, Paul L. Blough (Kim) of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Arthur Blough (Marsha) of Sacramento, CA, Chris Blough (Kristin) of Cairo, GA, Brittany De Plato (Jason) of Pelham, GA, Morgan Blough, Dana Blough, Anna Blough, Mario Blough, Juana Blough, Bethany Blough, Trinton Blough, all of Cairo, GA; great-grandchildren, Hunter De Plato, Brooke Lynn De Plato, all of Pelham, GA and Lawson Blough, Cairo, GA.  He was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife; brothers, Charles Blough, Kenneth Blough; and a sister, Donna Blough.  Memorials may be made in Mr. Blough's memory to: Barnett’s Creek Baptist Church Nursery Fund, 27 Maddox Road, Ochlocknee, GA  31773.  The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 14, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  Guests may sign the online register at www.clarkfuneral.com. — Clark Funeral Home
