Jaboris Copeland

Master Jaboris Copeland, Jr., 9, of Meigs, passed on Sunday, March 9, 2014. Services will be held Saturday, March 15, 2014, at 11 a.m. at St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church, 1950 John Collins Road, Pelham. The Rev. Mikeal Lovejoy, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Meigs Sunset Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home Friday from 5 to 6 p.m. Jaboris Antwan Copeland Jr., also known as J-Gudda, the son of Thomasina Hobbs and Jaboris Antwan Copeland Sr., was born in Thomas County Georgia on July 23, 2004. In 2010, Jaboris confessed JESUS CHRIST as his Lord and Savior and then united with Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, where he was baptized. He attended Cross Creek Elementary School. His survivors include his loving parents, Thomasina Hobbs and Jaboris Antwan Copeland Sr., Meigs; brother, Kameron Jai’yon Copeland, Meigs; grandparents, Rena Hobbs, Meigs, Queen E. Copeland, Meigs; uncles, Fredrick Donaldson, Clarence Hobbs, Brandon Copeland, all of Meigs. He also leaves to cherish three little sisters and five little brothers, all of Meigs; godmother, A’lashia Ivey, Meigs; godfathers, Renard Mitchell Sr., Meigs, Roncine Mitchell Sr., Meigs; godsister: Brandy Copeland, Meigs; and a host of special aunts, uncles and cousins. His special friends and cousins were Renard Mitchell Jr., Meigs; Mandrell Lewis, Tallahassee, Fla., Kristion Flounory, Meigs, MaKena Copeland, Tallahassee and Deshawn McNeil, Orlando, Fla..
