Virginia Anderson Butler

Services for Virginia Anderson Butler, 87, of Pelham will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 21, 2014, at the Jamerson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Billy Smith, assisted by the Rev. Donnie Wilkes, the Rev. Robert Watson and Father Theophan will officiate. Pallbearers will be Teddy Williams, Jeff Brooks, Randy Anderson, Gary Anderson, Casey Faircloth and Jeremy Faircloth. Internment will be at Pinecrest Memory Gardens. Butler was born on November 6, 1926 in Mitchell Co., Ga. to the late James Edward and Dollie Butler Anderson. She was a retired spinner and tester for Coats and Clark and a member of First Assembly of God Church in Pelham, where she was also a member of the Women’s Ministries. Butler was also a member of the Woodmen of the World. She passed away on Monday, March 17, 2014, at her residence. Survivors include son Randal (Karen) Whitfield of Jacksonville, Fla., daughter Rebecca (Kenneth) Lynell Faircloth of Bainbridge; grandchildren Lee Whitfield, Jennifer Lambardia, Katy Unkelbach, Craig Faircloth, Mark Faircloth, 14 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren; brother Amos (Nell) Anderson of Pelham; sisters Ollie Calbiano of Philadelphia, Penn., Linda Calace of Boca Raton, Fla., Shirley Otto of Hubbard, IA., Marie McAllister of Monticello, Fla.; stepchildren Freddie Butler, Patti Lynn Butler and Raiburn Butler; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husbands Leroy Whitfield and Jack Butler; grandson Jeff Faircloth;  great grandson Dylan Faircloth; parents James Edward and Dollie Butler Anderson; brother Raymond Anderson; and sisters Rena Kierce, Clara Gray and Louise Brinson.
