Services for Joe Henry Haynes, 87, of Pelham will be held at 1:00 p.m. at St. Peter M.B. Church.  Rev. Mikeal Lovejoy will officiate services with interment to follow at Blooming Light Cemetery in Pelham.  Friends of the family will serve as pallbearers.  Mr. Haynes was born on May 17, 1925 in Pelham to the late Hattie and Henry Haynes.  He attended Mitchell County Schools and worked as a farmer during his life.  Mr. Haynes was married to the late I. C. Dawn.  He was a lifelong resident of Pelham and Mr. Haynes departed this life on Sunday, January 13, 2013 in Tallahassee, FL.  Survivors to cherish his memory include his daughters Jerline Merritt of Pelham and Geraldine Carter of Ellenwood; sons Bill Bell of Camilla and William Jackson of Cotton; daughter Barbara Ann Jackson of Pelham; son Charles Jackson of Perry; daughter Diane Hill of Pelham; sons Ed Burton of Perry, FL, Richard Burton and Sonny Bell both of Pelham; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  He is also survived by a brother-in-law K.C. Haynes of Pelham.  He was preceded in death by his wife Vera Mae Haynes; two sisters Betty Anderson and Josie Haynes and one brother D’Prodigal Haynes.  Public viewing will be on Friday, January 18, 2013 from 2 p.m until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.  The body will lie instate from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour with no viewing after the eulogy. — Hatcher-Peoples Funeral Home
