Carolyn Bruce Spell

THOMASVILLE — Carolyn Bruce Spell, 69, of Quitman passed away Thursday February 20, 2014 at the Presbyterian Home after a lengthy illness.  Born in Moultrie, Ga. she was the daughter of Robert Sam and Agnes Gertrude Beek  Bruce, Sr..  She was a homemaker and member of the Baptist Faith.  She is survived by her son Leon “Bubba” (Sandy) Spell, Jr. of Crawfordville, Fla., two grandchildren; Stevie Spell, Fontana Spell Smith, two great grandchildren, son-in-law; Craig (Jackie) Ellis of Quitman, two brothers; Robert S. (Tempy) Bruce, Jr. of Boston, Alan (Joni) Bruce of Warner Robins, Ga. and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her brother; James Albert Bruce, sister; Faye Bruce Edmondson and her daughter; Pam Ellis.  Funeral services will be held Sunday February 23, at 2:00 pm at Maxwell-Miller Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Welcome Hill Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.  Condolences may be conveyed on line at www.maxwellmillerfuneralhome.com — Maxwell-Miller Funeral Home
