Dolly McDonald Brooks

THOMASVILLE — Graveside services for Dolly McDonald Brooks of Boston, are at 11 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014, at Boston City Cemetery. The Rev. Tim Phillips will officiate. Mrs. Brooks died Monday, Feb. 24, at her residence. Born June 16, 1947, in Boston, Ga., she was the daughter  of the late Johnny McDonald and Mary Alice Latner McDonald. On Sept. 1, 1965, in Boston, she married William Larry Brooks who preceded her in death on May 31, 2010. She was a retired librarian from the Boston Carnegie Library and she attended Boston Baptist Church. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Kirt & Nadine Brooks of Thomasville; and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., today at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, Okla. 73123-1718.
