Cathyleen Pierce

THOMASVILLE —

Graveside services for Cathyleen Pierce of Thomasville will be held at 2 p.m. on on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the Ochlocknee City Cemetery.  Jimmy Pearson will officiate with interment to immediately follow services.  Ms. Pierce was born on May 5, 1937 in Monroe Co., TN to the late Clifford Pierce and Lula Peel Pierce.  During her life she worked as a homemaker and she was of the Pentecostal faith.  Ms. Pierce departed this life on Friday, February 22, 2013.  Survivors to cherish her memory include her daughters Janice Gessner (John) of Davidson, NC, Esther Garrett of Gastonia, NC, and Denise Smith (George) of Summerville, SC; son Jonas Pearson of Summerville, SC; daughter Jennifer Bowman (David) of Kings Mountain, NC; 8 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Saturday prior to the graveside service.  Sign the Register book online at www.whiddonshiverfuneralhome.com — Whiddon-Shiver Funeral Home
