Patricia Parnell Jones

Services for Patricia Parnell (Judy) Jones are at noon, Saturday, March 8, 2014, at Good Shepherd Holiness Church, 515 N. Oak St., Thomasville. The Rev. Willie Mitchell, pastor, the Rev. Connie Scott will officiate and interment is in Peaceful Rest Cemetery. On Feb. 25, 2014, God called Patricia Parnell (Judy) Jones home. She was preceded in death by Mary Parnell and Joe Scott. Born Sept. 25, 1951, she was the oldest of five children. At an early age she dedicated her life to Christ and joined Willowhead Baptist Church. She attended Douglass High School and worked at the Thomasville Times-Enterprise for several years. Then, she left Thomasville and moved to Warner Robins and lived there for several years.  Survivors include three children; two sisters; two brothers; and sons, Willie (Virginia) Morris Jr. of Tifton, Lawrence Jones  of Lake Wales, Fla., daughter, Elbony Jones of Lake Wales; sisters, Doris (Rufus) Burns of Macon, the Rev. Connie Scott of Thomasville; brothers, Lorenza Crumidy of Thomasville, Joe Simon of Pelham; aunt, Betty Moody of Thomasville; uncle, Robert (Mary) Rosser of Thomasville; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Family and friends should assemble at 11 a.m., Saturday at 820 Magnolia St., Thomasville for the processional. The viewing is from 1 to 8 p.m., today at the funeral home. — Hadley’s Funeral Home
