Bob Vance Reeves

THOMASVILLE — Services for Bob Vance Reeves, 88 of Thomasville are at 11 a.m., Monday, March 24, 2014, at Northwoods Church of God. The Rev. Carlton Bassett will officiate and interment is in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Reeves passed away March 20. Born Nov. 15, 1925 in Thomasville, he was the son of the late Lloyd Hamilton Reeves and Ibera McKinney Reeves. He was married to Dorothy Nell Yates Reeves who preceded him in death. Mr. Reeves was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II in the Philippine Liberation Theater and the Battle of Luzon. He was a member of Northwoods Church of God, the Georgia Sheriff’s Boys Ranch and he raised exotic birds. He is survived by his children, Gale Loyd Reeves and Zelyn Randolph Reeves both of Thomasville, Barbara Jean Gray of Moultrie and Jimmy Charles “Pete” Reeves of Pavo; 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. He was also preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Lindsey Reeves, Edith Reeves Jones, Linda Reeves Jones, Theo “Joe” Reeves, Kenneth Reeves and Lewis Reeves. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home. Guests are invited to sign the online register at www.allenfh.com. — Allen & Allen Funeral Home
