Amilyah N. “Big Ma” Marshall

THOMASVILLE — Funeral services for Amilyah N. “Big Ma” Marshall of Cairo will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at St. Luke Primitive Baptist Church, Reno.  Elder Larry Brown will officiate services with interment to follow at Crestview Cemetery, Cairo.  Pallbearers will be Tavish Tims, TItus Butler, Jr., Joseph Garland, Robert Tims, Ta’Von Smith, Christopher Gurley and Todd Brown.  Honorary pallbearers will be Amilyah’s brothers.  Amilyah was born on October 8, 2003 in Albany to Flossie Marshall.  She was a member of St. Luke Primitive Baptist.  She departed this life on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville.  Survivors to cherish her memory include her mother Flossie Marshall of Cairo; biological parents Curtis and Kayena McGriff of Cairo; sisters Sara James (Odell) and James Marshall (Lorraine) all of Valdosta, Josephine Cooper (Minister Vincent) of Homerville, Felicia Marshall of Palatka, FL, Chassitie Marshall, Jenieya Marshall, ZyKayla Marshall and Danashya Sanders all of Cairo; brothers Keith Marshall of Palatka, FL, Brandon Marshall, Jamie Marshall and Curtis McGriff all of Cairo; grandmother Shirley Sanders aunts Georgia Simmions of Savannah, Katrina Davis and Karen Sanders both of Cairo; uncles Anthony Davis and Deacon Herman Garland (Joyce); and a host of loving and caring family and friends.  She was preceded in death by her father Joseph Marshall. — Cloud Funeral Home
