Elouise Carruthers

Services for Elouise Carruthers will be at 11 a.m., on Saturday, March 8, 2014, at Piney Gorve M.B. Church in Whigham. The Rev. Harry Mitchell will officiate. Internment will follow at Crestview Cemetery. Mrs. Carruthers was born in Climax to the late Rayfield and Lucy Flemming Cooper, Sr., and married to the late Sam Carruthers. She passed away on March 2, 2014 at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge, Ga. Survivors include sister Lizzie Mae McDuffie of Bainbridge; brothers Alvern Cooper (Sondra) of Tallahassee, Fla., Marvin Cooper (Dora) of Chicago, Ill. and Joseph Shoats (Carolyn) of Louisville, Ky.; sister-in-law Mary Cooper of Climax and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. — Westons Funeral Home
