Jessie O. Coffee

Services for Jessie O. Coffee, of Pavo, are 11 a.m. Saturday at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Marshall Dixon and the Rev. Charles Lodge will officiate and interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Coffee was born July 16, 1923, in Thomas County, the son of the late Elmer and Mable Bailey Coffee. On May 2, 1946, in Thomasville, he married Pauline Tryan Coffee, who preceded him in death. Mr. Coffee was a member of Salem Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and was the superintendent of Okapilco Plantation for more than 40 years. He died Dec. 12, 2006, at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Von Tomlinson of Sumter, S.C.; and, grandson, Paul Tomlinson, also of Sumter. Memorials may be made to Salem Baptist Church, 10709 Salem Rd. Pavo, Ga. 31778 or to Gideons International, P.O. Box 2361, Thomasville, Ga. 31779. James Theron ‘Jim’ Holland

Graveside services for James Theron “Jim” Holland, of Thomasville, are 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Laurel Hill Cemetery on 14th Street. The Rev. Bob Smith will officiate. Mr. Holland was born Jan. 21, 1935, in Mitchell County, the son of the late Clarence Ellis and Eva Lois Britt Holland. On Sept. 8, 1962, in Washington D.C., he married Patricia Ann Phillips Holland, who survives. Mr. Holland was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and a route salesman for Lance. Mr. Holland died Dec. 13, 2006, at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Other survivors include son, David Forrest Holland of Gainesville; daughter, Leslie Ann Holland of Thomasville; brothers, Jimmy Clark Holland of Moultrie and Leon Ellis Holland of Warner Robbins; sisters, Mary Myone Broome of Palataka, Fla., Frances Louise Holland of Albany; and, grandchildren, Zachary, Joshua and Kristen Holland. Memorials may be made to Lewis Hall Singletary Oncology Center, 116 Mimosa Dr., Thomasville, Ga. 31792. The family will receive friends 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
