Mariah Lee

THOMASVILLE — Ms. Mariah Lee was born on June 23, 1937 in Worth Co., GA.  She was the daughter of the late Ola Lee.  She was educated at the Lincoln Brown High School.  At an early age she joined the Morning Stay Missionary Baptist Church and later joined the Wesley Shorter Chapel A.M.E. Church.  She was also president of the Meigs Prayer Band.  Mariah was called home on February 14, 2014 at Skyline Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Thomasville, GA.  She leaves to cherish her life, two sons, Jimmy L. Mitchell, Tampa, FL and William H. Lee of Raytown, Missouri; daughter Sheila S. Lee of Meigs, GA; five grandchildren Jimmy L. Mitchell, Jr., Elisha D. Mitchell of Tampa, FL, Grace M. Mitchell of Detroit, MI, Demetrius V. Lee (Cheryl), and Laquita N. Lee of Meigs; four great-grandchildren, Theodrick L. Martin, Darquez J. Lee of Meigs, Malachi L. Lee and Makayla A. Lee of Thomasville; one aunt Pearline Ranson of Quincy, FL; one uncle Enoch Lee of Thomasville and a host of cousins, loving relatives and friends; special cousins Johnny and Carrie Lee; special friends Amy Vicks, Margaret McCraw and Betty Thomas.  Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at  at the Kairos Worship Center, 1017 Alligood St., Meigs.  Rev. Willie McNeil, Pastor, Rev. Estelle Arrington, officiating services.  Burial will follow in the Meigs Sunset Cemetery.  Family and friends are asked to assemble at 3056 N. Carter St., Meigs for the processional at 12:00 Noon.  Viewing will be held from 12 Noon until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2014 at the funeral home.  www.hadleysfh.com — Hadley’s Funeral Home
