Charles Samuel Tillman Sr.

THOMASVILLE — Services for Charles Samuel Tillman Sr., 60, Thomasville, are at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 26, 2014, at Saint Luke CME Church. The Rev. Lonnie Robinson, pastor Clifford Temple CME Church will officiate, the Rev. Lonnie Robinson, eulogist, pastor of Aucilla Missionary Baptist Church and interment is in Peaceful Rest Cemetery. Pallbearers are family and friends. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Thomasville High School Class of 1972. Mr. Tillman died April 20 at Thomasville Nursing Rehab. Born Nov. 22, 1953, in Thomasville, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Beaurie Tillman. He was married to Bertha Lee Boldes, who preceded him in death, on June 6, 1976 in Thomasville. He was a 1972 graduate of Thomasville High School and retired from Southwestern State Hospital. He was a member of Clifford Temple CME Church. Survivors include his sons, Charles Samuel Tillman Jr., Kelvin D. Tillman (Cherice), Ruchard K. Tillman Sr., Obasonjo W. Tillman (Cynthia); 11 grandchildren, Jalan, Ayanna, Krystal, Kelia, Keona, Jesiah, Keria, Octavia, Sonjanique, Aaliyriah, Ruchard Jr.; three sisters, Evangelist Susie P. Jones (Wendell), Marguerite Hester (Charles), Sheila Thomas; one god-sister, Beaurie Katrina Hart; a cousin like a brother, Elijah Hill; one brother-in-law, James Edward Boldes; two sisters-in-law, Mable Boldes, Cloretha Morrell (Johnny); one aunt, Martha M. Thomas (94 years-old); and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, neighbors and friends. The viewing is from 1 to 8 p.m., today at the funeral home and from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral hour on Saturday with no viewing after the eulogy. — Hatcher-Peoples Funeral Home
