THOMASVILLE — Services for Mary Pittman Williams, 65, of Thomasville, are at 1 p.m., April 26, 2014, at Trinity Missionary Baptist Church in Boston. The Rev. Dellise Cox will officiate and interment is in Peaceful Rest Cemetery. Pallbearers are Steven Glenn, Larry Williams, Ayinde King, JaMa Spencer and Romonzo Hill. Mrs. Williams died April 20 at Archbold Hospital. Born Oct. 16, 1948, in Boston, Ga., she was the daughter of the late John W. Williams and Elizabeth Williams. On Oct. 12, 1996, she was married to James Alvin Williams who preceded her in death on Sept. 24, 2004. She was a 1966 graduate of Magnolia High School, a graduate of Walton Technical College. She was a licensed practical nurse and worked at Southwestern State Hospital for 37 years. She was a member of Trinity Missionary Baptist Church, Lady E. Stokes OES No. 99 and Decketts Social Club. Survivors include a daughter, Chaka P. Tucker (Alonzo Tucker Sr.) of Thomasville; two grandchildren, Chakia D. Tucker, Alonzo Tucker Jr. of Thomasville; siblings, Charles Williams (Johanna) of Seaside, Calif., Patricia King-Cooper (Joseph) of Pavo, Gussie Williams of Thomasville, Manassah Williams (Jocelyn) of Richmond, Ky., Felton Williams (Joan) of El Paso, Texas, Annie Lou Holland of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Gerald Coston of Boston; aunts, Mamie Law of Boston, Jessie Brown (Robert) of Thomasville, Lizzie M. Hill of Boston, Claudia Williams of Quitman; a special godson, William Neel Thomas of Atlanta; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by one sister, Etta J.
