Services for Carleen Strickland Pollock, 73, of Pelham will be held at 2:00 p.m on Friday, January 11, 2013 at the First Baptist Church of Pelham.  Dr. Beau Cooksey will officiate services.  Pallbearers will be Les Pollock, Ricky Pollock, Blaine Brinkley, Darryl Warren, Jimmy Anderson and Hoyt Anderson.  Mrs. Pollock was born on February 28, 1939 in Mitchell Co. to the late Carl and Emily Rivers Strickland.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pelham and the Cotton Homemakers Club.  During her life Mrs. Pollock worked as a homemaker.  Mrs. Pollock departed this life on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Pelham Parkway Nursing Home in Pelham.  Survivors to cherish her memory include her husband Lamar Pollock of Pelham; children Marc Pollock (Brenda) of Bainbridge, Pam Herring (Jimbo) of Tallahassee, FL and Barry Pollock (Susie) of Thomasville; grandchildren Tiffany Adams (Joe), Riley Pollock, Dana Pollock, Stephen Craun, Ashley Craun, James Herring (Courtney) and Brandon Herring; great-grandchildren Asa Adams and Phoenix Adams; sisters Nannette Roberts (Herman), Eleanor Pollock and Elaine Brinkley (Buddy); sisters-in-law Frances Warren (Curtis), Opal Wright (David), Gloria Anderson (Glenwood), Janice Williamson (Tad), Dorothy Pollock, Daphne Pollock Manous and Charlotte White.  She was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Emily Rivers Strickland.  Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at the funeral home.  To share your deepest sympathies and fondest memories, sign the online register book at www.jamerson-braswell.com — Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home
