Loette Shelley Rogers

THOMASVILLE — Graveside services for Loette Shelley Rogers, 94 of Pavo, are 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Lebanon Cemetery. The Rev. Larry Harris and the Rev. Tim VanLandingham will officiate. Mrs. Rogers passed away June 6 at her residence. Born Nov. 17, 1919, in Pavo, she was the daughter of the late C.C. Shelley and Ruby Redfearn Shelley. She was married to Thilbert Rogers who preceded her in death. Mrs. Rogers was well known for working many years in the lunchroom at Pavo School. She was a loving mother who raised five sons and was a member of Pavo Baptist Church for many years. She is survived by two of her sons, Jerry Rogers of McRae and Jimmy Rogers (Beth Rogers) of Moultrie; grandchildren, John Rogers, Chris Rogers, Susan Rogers Bentley (Jeff Bentley), Scott Rogers, Bonnie Rogers, Robin Ott (Thor Ott), and James Rogers; great grandchildren, Jan Rogers Sawyer, Mary Catherine Bentley, Ben Bentley, Jake Bentley, Caitlin Rogers, Drew Rogers, Jesse Rogers, Sarah Ott, Katie Ott, and Emilie Ott; great great-grandchildren, Casey Myers, Nick Myers and Kyleigh Rogers. She was preceded in death by sons, Jan Rogers, Chris Rogers, Ladd Rogers and grandson and William Rogers. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., today at the funeral home.
