Cynthia Darlene Council

THOMASVILLE — Services for Cynthia Darlene Council, 55, are at 1:30 p.m., Friday, July 11, 2014 at Trinity Missionary Baptist Church in Boston with Rev. Dr. Dellise Cox officiating.  Burial will follow in the Boston Cemetery. Mrs. Council was born on Aug. 26, 1958, to Sarah Mitchell and Clarence McCoy Sr. Darlene joined Trinity Missionary Baptist Church in Boston. She graduated from high school in 1976 and worked at Elise Sewing factory in Boston. She worked in the health care field for over 25 years, then later moved to Miami, Fla., and joined Memorial Temple Baptist Church. She leaves to cherish a loving and devoted husband Robert "Kenny" Council of Miami, Fla.; two sons Kelvin McCaskill (Brandi) and Xavier Choice ; one daughter, Sharonda Choice; three brothers, Derrick Williams (Ann), Juan Williams both from Detroit, Mich., Clarence McCoy of St. Petersburg, Fla.; three sisters, Angela "Faye" Williams of Boston, Brenda McCoy of St. Petersburg, Fla., Linda Ford (Randy) of Atlanta; seven grandchildren, Jamel Hayes, Jordan hayes, Johnathan Choice, Kamari Council, Pharoah Council, Journie McCaskill, Janae McCaskill; numerous nieces, nephews and friends; and special friends, Maxine Dunn, Nellie Thomas, Geneva Evans, Vickie Hill, Elaine Wells Alexander and Betty Hunter. Along with her parents, Darlene was preceded in death by one granddaughter, De Tonya Robinson. Public viewing and visitation are at noon to 8:30 p.m., today at the funeral home in Quitman.
