Eugene “Blue” Jackson


Graveside services for Eugene “Blue” Jackson, 53, of Thomasville, are at noon, Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011 at Peaceful Rest Cemetery. The Rev. Anthony Q. Choice will officiate. Mr. Jackson died Oct. 29 at his residence. Born Aug. 10, 1958, in Thomas County, Ga., he is the son of Arthur Eugene Jackson and the late Ethel Overstreet Jackson. On Feb. 9, 2011, in Thomasville, he married Daisy Brown. He attended Thomas County School System. Survivors include his wife, Daisy Jackson of Thomasville; sons, Mantrell Brown, Oscar “Boo” Jackson both of Thomasville; daughters, Regina Jackson (Jarrod), Chen’ce Brown of Thomasville; father, Arthur Eugene Jackson of Thomasville; granddaughters, Denz’shaja Johnson, Malazia Brown both of Thomasville; grandson, Jaylen Williams of Thomasville; brother and wife, Oscar Jackson (Joyce) of Thomasville; brothers, Larry Jackson, Paul Jackson both of Thomasville; brothers and wives, Jackie Walker (Natonya) of Atlanta, Marvin Walker (Roberta) of Lithonia; sisters, Katie Jackson, Yvonne Ivey, Paula Buchanan all of Thomasville, Emma Jackson of Panama City, Fla.; sister and husband, Eleanor L. Wright (Randolph) of College Park; a special nephew, Stonewall Jackson of Thomasville; a devoted mother-in-law, Wessie Lee of Thomasville; sister-in-law and husband, Dorothy Scott (Zeke) of Boston; sister-in-law, Lillie Brown of Thomasville; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, neighbors and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ethel Overstreet Jackson; a brother, Willie C. Jackson; a sister, Gloria Ann Jackson; and a son, Denzel Brown. Relatives and friends are asked to meet at 11:30 a.m. at the cemetery. The viewing is from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., today at the funeral home. — Grooms Funeral Home
