Rosa Godwin White

Funeral services for Rosa Godwin White, 89, of Pelham will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 8, 2013 at East Pelham Baptist Church.  Rev. Herman Hampton will officiate services with interment to follow at Pelham City Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Wesley White, Scott Getek, Scott McPherson, Hayden Moye, Danny Lee, Wayne Gilliard and Steve Parramore.  Mrs. White was born on May 2, 1924 in Decatur Co. to the late Jack and Mamie Glover Godwin.  She was a member of East Pelham Baptist Church and during her life she worked as a homemaker.  Mrs. White was wed to the late Mr. David White until the time of his passing.  Mrs. White departed this life on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Palmyra Nursing Home in Albany.  Survivors to cherish her memory include her sons Ron White (Connie) of Albany and Don White (Sharon) of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren  Wesley White, Kelly McPherson (Scott), Barbara Getek (Scott), Carey Carr (Shera), Amy Montgomery (Jeff), Ivy Francisco (Jurberto) and Nikki White; eleven great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, David White; parents Jack and Mamie Glover Godwin; brothers Alvin Godwin and Lawrence Godwin; half-brother Willie Godwin; half-sisters Rebecca Keaton and Mattie Lou Eidson.  To share your deepest sympathies and fondest memories, sign the online register book at — Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home
