Minnie O. Mosley


Funeral Services for Mother Minnie Ola Mosley will be at 11:00 a.m Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Glasgow A.M.E. Church. Rev. Joseph Hankins, pastor Rev. T.C. Mitchell, officiating.  A Time To Be Born: Mother Minnie Ola Moseley was born on October 30,1916-to the late  Mr.James Seabrooks and Mrs. Bessie Jackson in Monticello, FLA. She was the second of 11 children.  A Time To Live: Mother Mosley was raised and grew up on a family farm in Monticello, Fla.  She attended and received her educational training from Elizabeth Training School in Monticello, Fla.  At the age of 14 on July 17, 1930 she was converted and joined Mt. Pleasant MBC in Monticello, Fla.  On March 10,1935 she and the late Leroy Moseley was united in holy matrimony (they were united for 55 years until his death on October 25,1990).  She moved to Boston ,Ga. and joined Mt. Herman MBC where she served faithfully until the church was sold. April 27,1997 she joined Bethel AME and served there faithfully until her health prevented her attendance. She was a longtime member of TABITHA Chapter No. 31 Order of Eastern Star and the Community Pray Band.  A Time To Love: She was married to the late Leroy Mosley and to this union twelve children were born. She was preceded in death by four daughters and two sons: Lorraine, Bessie, Idella, Annie Ruth, Leroy and Eddie Mack Mosley.  She was also preceded in death by by three sisters and three brothers. She leaves to cherish her memories - Her Children: Estella (Ernest Colston, Macon Ga.- Minnie Graham,Thomasville - James (Sharon Moseley, Monticello, Fla.-Mary (Johnny) Young,Thomasville, Ga. - Musa Mansur (Rubynell) Muhammad, Atlanta Ga. - Melvin Mosley, Thomasville, Ga. -Daughters-in-Law:  Rhunette Mosley and Dorothy Mosley -Thomasville, Ga. Brother: James Seabrooks - Daytona, Fla. - Sisters: Annie Mae Thomas, Palmetto, Fla. and Rose Bud O.Neal, Rivera Beach. Fla.  Sisters-in-law: Dora Seabrooks of Miami, Fla. and Elizabeth McGriff of Thomasville, Ga. Grandchildren:  Jacquline Peagler, Cardova,Tenn./Christopher Colston, Virginia Beach,VA./Ernest Paul Colston, Winder, Ga./Elvis (Comelia)Carr, Albany, Ga./Jennifer(Charles) Jackson-Fayetteville, NC/Iris Anderson, Olympia, Wash./Sandy Colston - Macon, Ga./Paladin Craig Colston - Macon, Ga./Johanna (Beverly) Young,George Young, Mark Young, Leroy Young and Lisa Turner,Thomasville, Ga/Charissa Moseley, Monticello, Fla. - 29 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. A host of nephews/nieces/relatives/friends.  A special nephew: Leroy Mcmillian---Special caretakers: Amecia Thomas and Shirley Tillman - Special Friends: Mrs.Dora Augusta, Mrs. Lulu Rollins and the Community. Pray Band/-Mrs.Bertha Banks/Mrs.Cora Willis/Mrs. Mary Cooney Hopkins.  Public viewing will be today from 8am -6:30pm. At 6:30 TABITHA Chapter No.31 will have the Eastern Star Ceremony. Family and friends will begin the procession at 1231 Tom Street at 9:45 am. — Hopkins Mortuary
