Franklin Jerome Hunter

THOMASVILLE —

Franklin Jerome Hunter, 68, of Ochlocknee, died Friday, November 9, 2012 at his home on 4857 McMillian Road.  Funeral services will be held at, 2:00 Sunday, November 11, 2012 at New Hope Holiness Church in Thomasville with the Rev. Mark Herrington officiating.  Interment will follow in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens Moultrie.  Casketbearers will be Kelly Lyle, Tracy Hunter, Jamie Hunter, Dallon Walker, Landon Walker and Michael King.  Born February 28, 1944 in Moultrie, Georgia he was the son of the late Frank G. Hunter and late Wilma Harnage Morey.  He was a retired long distance trucker for Kenro and also worked for O’Reilly Auto Parts and was of the Holiness Faith.  Survivors include his wife Jeanette Murphy Hunter of Ochlocknee; daughter, Christie Brooks and husband Michael of Fair Hope, AL.; Sons William Layton and wife Beth of Meigs, Ga. and Mike Layton of Ochlocknee, Ga.; Granddaughters Darian, DeeAnna and Darlyn Hannah Brooks all of Fair Hope, Al.; Grandson Mitch Layton of Meigs, Ga,; Brother Tarol Hunter of Moultrie, Ga.,; Sisters Lajuana Ansley and husband Dick of Thomasville, Ga. and Lisa King and husband Mike of Thomasville, Ga.; Sisters in Law Liz and husband Tom Payton and Alice Martin of Albany, Ga. and Idell Murphy of Orlando, Fl.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Cobb Funeral Chapel. — Cobb Funeral Chapel
