Joseph A. Booker

— Services for Joseph A. Booker, 85, of Thomasville will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at the Hatcher-Peoples Funeral Home Chapel, 820 Wright St., Thomasville, GA.  Interment will be held at Lincoln Cemetery in Atlanta at a later date.  Pallbearer’s will be friends of the family.  Mr. Booker was born in Atlanta on February 4, 1927 and worked for the U.S. Postal Service until the time of his retirement.  He was a resident of Thomasville for 17 years and he departed this life on Monday, January 7, 2013 at his home.  Survivors to cherish his memory include his daughters Phyllis Booker-Sloan of Cincinnati, OH and Joanne Booker of Oakland, CA; sons Joseph A. Booker of Cincinnati, OH, Ronald Booker of Ithaca, NY and Leonard Booker of Cincinnati, OH; daughters Jacquelin Booker-Collin and Stefanie Booker both of Cincinnati, OH.  He also leaves many grandchildren, other relatives and friends. — Hatcher-Peoples Funeral Home
