Rant & Rave May 2, 2008

“Quit picking on the police and sheriff’s department. These people are doing an excellent job.”

“I wish firefighters would go back to the tradition of cooking at the fire station instead of taking their trucks all over town.”

“For those complaining about law enforcement officers dropping off their kids in a patrol car, if there was an emergency you would be glad."

“Law enforcement officers that drop their children off at school are coming and going from work, not on personal time. I would assume that others are doing the same in their vehicles. I am also paying extra insurance to do just that out of my own pocket, which others don’t. When my children are dropped off, I am at work at that time. It would be a disservice and a waste of time to our community to drive my personal vehicle to school, drive back home and then get ready to work.”

“Coach Booth will be sorely missed at TCCHS, in the classroom and on the tennis courts.”

“Stop worrying about what everyone else does and mind your own business!”

“Law enforcement officers aren’t the only ones abusing the use of government vehicles. I can think of at least one Thomas County vehicle that goes to Grady County every night. How much does that cost taxpayers?”
