Rant & Rave May 7, 2008
“Bands rattle my windows every year during the Rose Parade, but I don’t rant about it. We don’t complain because it’s an event for every age, race and gender. It’s for the community. It’s not about an individual. The car show is the same way.”
“Way to go, Central boys soccer team, for making it to the Final Four.”
“So many of the responses in Rant and Rave are one-sided and non-educated pandering.”
“Congratulations to Harper Elementary School students and staff on the wonderful art show.”
“I would like to rant against the design of the proposed courthouse. Flat roofs are very unsatisfactory in this area, and the design of this building is not in keeping with our wonderful town.”
“Democrats and Republicans need a dose of reality. We can’t afford all the spending by our leaders. This country has a debt of more than $9 trillion, which equals to $30,700 for each U.S. citizen. There is going to be a day of reckoning. Call or write your congressman now.”
“There is no need to get excited about the election this fall because nothing is going to change. Democrats and Republicans just will not work together. I agree with former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Venture, who said our politicians should be locked up because they will not work together.”
