Rant & Rave Aug. 19

“What are you going to take out of the paper next — the sports section or something else?”

“I love the ‘Knight Life!’ Thanks for adding it. It's refreshing and real. Please keep it.”

“How can Obama blame McCain for the economy and oil prices when Democrats are in control of the House of Representatives and Senate?”

“After Saturday’s scrimmage, it looks like Bainbridge is in for some serious trouble from the Syrupmakers.”

“I just watched C-Span and saw Lt. Gen. Lloyd Austin talking to reporters at the White House. Is he a Thomasville native? And if so, why don't we hear more about this man? I heard that he graduated from Douglass High School.”

EDITOR’S NOTE: Austin was born in Thomasville on Aug. 8, 1953. He graduated from Thomasville High School. The Times-Enterprise has published several articles about him, including one as recently as July 22.

“Obama says it’s above his pay grade to say when human life begins. It seems to me even ‘Zero’ from ‘Beetle Bailey’ would understand it starts at the moment of conception.”

“Thank you for so many football pictures week on your online version. There are other sports who would like to have that may pictures in a season!”
