Rants & Rave, Oct. 11, 2008

“To the person who said, ‘The truth really hurts:’ I don't understand what that person is saying. The only thing I know to be true is that your right-wing ticket to the presidency is not going to win. How’s that for the truth!”

“I want to give a rave to Patti Dozier for her column in Wednesday’s paper. It was fantastic. Both presidential candidates should have it e-mailed to them.”

“The conservatives are more scared of Barack Obama than John McCain.”

“Thank you, Barbara Collins, for your letter to the editor. The truth does hurt. I worked in Thomasville for 20 years, but during Bill Clinton’s reign as president every branch of that company shut down except one and it finally relinquished in 2000 — thanks to his bill. Democrats are not always for the poor people.”

“My daughter was only eight years old when Ted Bundy killed the girls at FSU, but I bet if he had been set free on a technicality when she was grown she would have enough sense to stay away from him. Obama is lacking in judgment when it comes to his relationships.”

“Our president, congressmen and senators have no clue how to fix our economy. They should cancel the bailout plan and ask the citizens how to fix the country. All these so-called smart people need to be removed and replaced with average people.”

“I want to rave about a 23-year veteran of the Marine Corps. He is always working, working working and — when he’s not working — he’s worshiping, worshiping worshiping. He has many outstanding achievements. Good luck, Mr. Watts.”
