Rant & Rave for May 21

“People, it’s ARCH-BOLD, not AR-CHEE-BOLD with three syllables. Please correct your pronunciation.”

“Republicans do not know how to govern.”

“Not too long ago, there was one day on which you voted, and absentee ballots were reserved for those who were not in town or incapacitated. Now we have early voting for some time before an election, Saturday voting, absentee ballots for anyone who wants them and a final day of voting at the polls. Does all that get any more people to vote than the one day did? I somehow doubt it.”

“Unfortunately, taking Christianity out of voting and politics is the root of the problems we have today. If we voted for Christians, elected Christians and supported Christian initiatives, we would be far better off.”

“While I don't agree with racism, it has been around for years and will not be stamped out by laws against it or limiting the right to free speech. It was in existence when Jesus walked the earth and years before He was born, so why on earth does the federal government think it will ever do away with it? And the thing is, the groups most vocal against it are just as racially biased as anyone else. It is an effort in futility.”

“Responsible gun owners keep their guns locked up so criminals and youths can’t get to them.”

“Seriously, folks, is there any agency in the federal government that is not reeking with corruption? We need the biggest house cleaning in the history of the world. The insane asylum is running itself.”

“Wanting Christ out of our life is admitting defeat forever. “

“Get ready. We have been warned that many more executive actions are coming. Obama will continue to wipe his feet on the Constitution.”

“There are more people on disability in the U.S. than there are people in Greece, Tunisia and Portugal. Sure, some folks deserve it, but, overall, this is a another government scam plaguing America.”
