Rant & Rave for June 25

“I want to rave about the column about homemade biscuits. It was nice to read something that made me smile and not want to argue about anything. Thank you, Randy, for a nice slice of down home with a very deeply set point. You don't find real home cooking without an element of love involved. Now to find my self-rising flour, shortening and buttermilk.”

“To the ranter quoting Jonathan Swift: May I remind you of the tale of the Pied Piper — the tale of a charismatic person who lured his mindless ‘followers’ to their end?”

“I laughed like crazy when I read the rave for President Obama. The one that said ‘all the dunces’ could not have described the Republican mindset better, Thank you for your submission.”

“Who cares what John Swift said? He must be stupid.”

“County Line Road, Pinetree Boulevard and Glenwood Drive are in horrible and dangerous shape. Come on, Thomasville, clean up your roads.”

“If you didn’t read Randy Alcorn’s column on Tuesday, you need to do it. No truer words were ever printed. It needs to be printed in big red letters.”

“I’m just glad Thomasville still has fireworks. Some cities don’t do it anymore.”
