Rant and rave June 26

THOMASVILLE — “I'm so happy to open paper toViewpoints & Opinion and see there is another article by the Rev Arthur Jones. He's not only a fantastic columnist, he actually cares about the sad situation our new Republican party has become,  like a lot have become to feel also. I would like for Rev. Jones to know most of us readers love what he has to say, and please keep it coming to us.”

“Democrats are trying to re-write the 1st Amendment, and 44 senators agree with the effort to regulate political speech. If that's not the best argument for repeal of the 17th Amendment, which provided for the direct election of senators, I don't know what is. While we're at it, term limits would be a nice companion to the correction.”

“New EPA regulations issued under Obama are 38 times as long as the Bible, neither of which have likely been read by those who are crusading to save the planet from the likes of humankind. They already know everything they need to know, you idiot humans. What it costs is also irrelevant.”

“Liberal millionaires are in a crisis, having run out of ways to either deny they're actually rich, or to appear to be "down with the common man." Perhaps there's some guilt.”

“Not known for telling the truth the first time, government has "revised" their 1st quarter shrinkage of the economy of 1 percent down to 2.9 percent. That's nearly three times as bad, and the biggest lie told in that regard since Carter was president. But we're in recovery and doing nicely, right?”
