Rant & Rave for July 8

“Cairo needs to bring the fireworks back. Do something for the community.”

“If Rev. Jones was a true Christian, he would not be judging or criticizing other people.”

“The Obama administration needs to secure the border and stop illegal immigration, not welcome illegal aliens with open arms.”

“The unemployment rate of 6.1 and the numbers of the Dow tell nothing about this country's economy. You need to look at how many people are not working and not even looking for work anymore. Look at the business closures and why they are closing.  Look at the lowered income of families and the higher costs we face. A simple headline or talking point does not tell the real story.”

“Grateful as we are for CNS sponsoring the Fourth of July fireworks — and we are grateful for the focus on our community — why did the family fun move to such a hot, asphalt-covered place? It wasn't broken! Why did you try to fix it?”

“All this talk of immigration reform is ridiculous. We have laws already that would have prevented this mess and would cure it now. The only reform we need is to force the anarchist running the country to obey and enforce the laws for once — or impeach him. Preferably both.”

“Loved the fireworks! Loved the downtown ambiance.”
