Rant & Rave for June 22

“A member of the Coalition of African American Pastors said, ‘It’s terrible that this president has started this country on an immoral course. This is the most immoral president we’ve ever had." The pastor's name is not Arthur L. Jones III.”

“People who reply with the insult ‘spare me your ignorance' tend to be the most uninformed, illogical and arrogant people one will ever encounter.”

“President Obama sacrificed much of himself to get health care passed and saved the country from the second depression. He accomplish great things for America in only the one and half years he had the power to do so. I remain as proud of him now as I was when I first voted for him in the 2008 primary.”

“The IRS scandal begs the question: Did the White House deliberately target opponents? If there is no evidence that it did, that means the IRS became corrupt all by itself. Given it's long history, that's so unlikely, the only solution is to abolish it. Corruption never goes away all by itself, either.”

“There does not need to be a new E911 building put up when there are so many empty storefronts around town.”

“If it were possible in this space to specifically list everything Obama has done and gotten away with, his supporters still would not believe it anymore than if you showed them video of the acts themselves. Remember, these are folks who believe the denials when video actually does exist. That goes far beyond political advocacy to something more like religion — or some sort of cult. Nixon was nearly impeached for 18 minutes that didn't exist.”
