Thomasville High has broken into the Class AA rankings for the first time in more than two years.
The Bulldogs, though, are focused on the 1-2 Westminster Wildcats not the No. 10 next to their own name.
“It doesn’t matter, it really doesn’t,” THS coach Leroy Ryals said. “That’s what someone outside the program, probably not even close to Thomasville, is guessing.
“We’ve got to worry about Westminster. They’re very well-coached, physical and have some very good players. We have our hands full, we really do.
“I hate to say it, but we better not be overlooking anybody.”
THS, which is ranked by the Georgia Sports Writers Association for the first time since the final Associated Press rankings in 2010, enters 2-1 following last week’s 56-6 mauling of Stewart County.
