Cairo tops Cook, Brooks County in wrestling

The Cairo wrestling team hosted Cook and Brooks County Thursday night and picked up two wins.

The Syrupmakers dumped Cook 37-33. Winners included Harley Ponder, Ryan Roberson, Mateo Francisco, Will Alexander, Wilder Elliott, Luke Elkins, Paul Coleman and Koby Pyrz.

 The Syrupmakers topped Brooks County 72-6. Winners included Harley Ponder, Ryan Roberson, Mateo Francisco, Will Alexander, Wilder Elliott, Luke Elkins, Conner Ezell, Darby Nichols, Paul Coleman, Marcus Gaines, Maurice Gaines and Brentavius Vicks.
