Night Hawks eye pivotal weekend series

(Continued)

THOMASVILLE —

“Mid-week games, we obviously want to win, but right now the focus is on the weekends and it will be for the next five weekends.”

Lee will send  aces, Kurt Gens and Ben Overman to the mound for Games 1 and 2, then relief pitcher John Gainey will get his second start of the season in Game 3.

“He’s done a good job,” Lee said of Gainey. “I think its just a good match-up for us this weekend and probably next. After that, we’ll re-evaluate.”

First pitch on Friday is at 1 p.m. Saturday’s doubleheader starts at noon.
