Heritage 5K and Fun Run draws over 450 participants

THOMASVILLE —

Over 450 paricipants took part in the Heritage 5K Walk and 1 Mile Fun Run on Saturday.

Both courses took participants through one of Thomasville’s historic districts, representing the heritage of the Rose City.

Proceeds from the event benefit summer camp scholarships through its sponsors, Commercial Bank and the Thomasville YMCA .

Here are the finalist finishers for each event:

– Overall male winner, 5K Walk: Cameron Stephens (29 minutes, 37 seconds).

– Overall female winner, 5K Walk: Nancy Herring (30:59).

– Overall boy winner, 1 Mile Fun Run: Joshua Lyons (5:40).

– Overall girl winner, 1 Mile Fun Run: Anna James (6:27).

– Top finishers, Boys Ages 11 and 12, 1 Mile Fun Run: Brandon Hopper, Keith Spencer Jr., Thomas Lowe.

– Top finishers, Girls Ages 11 and 12, 1 Mile Fun Run: Angela Lowe, Morgan Waldrop, Isabella Grayson.

–Top finishers, Boys Ages 9 and 10, 1 Mile Fun Run: Matthew Lewis, Lane Whiddon, Harris Jackson

– Top finishers, Girls Ages 9 and 10, 1 Mile Fun Run:Makenna Maroney, Myla Still, Kellie Brewer.

– Top finishers, Boys Ages 7 and 8, 1 Mile Fun Run: Stone Singletary, Tyler Lee, Seth Rome.

– Top finishers, Girls Ages 7 and 8, 1 Mile Fun Run: Madison Leach, Elizabeth Rinehart, Bailey Maroney.

­ Top finishers, Boys Ages 6 and under, 1 Mile Fun Run: Bowen Dennard, Ryan Groover, Nate Seago.

– Top finishers, Girls Ages 6 and under, 1 Mile Fun Run: Arcinia Cone, Amy Holt, Celeste Owens.
