Another freebie: Brookwood walks in game-winner in extras

Brookwood, after starting 6-1, is now riding a three-game winning streak – the lengthiest in Johnson’s four-year tenure.

The Warriors have three practices schedule this week before a road contest on Thursday against Valwood, a team they defeated, 12-2, on March 11.

Brookwood (6-4, 0-2), still winless in GISA 3-AAA, will resume region play against Tiftarea on April 15.

“You can’t stay down and disappointed in baseball for very long,” Johnson said. “You always have another game right there waiting on you.

“We’re not going to get down on it. The fussing is over with. It’s just a matter of getting back focused together and taking care of business.”
