Thomasville was forced to reschedule Friday’s home baseball game against Turner County to Tuesday due to the high level of rain.
Bulldogs coach Erik McDougald said he made the decision at noon, but that he knew by as early as 8:30 a.m. that he’d be forced to reschedule.
“The field looks like it’s suited for water polo right now,” McDougald said. “I knew pretty early this morning when that monsoon was coming down what was up.”
Friday’s game with Turner will move to Tuesday at 6 p.m., and Tuesday’s game against Seminole County will move to Wednesday.
The Bulldogs are in action on Saturday against Taylor County at 2:30 p.m.
Thomasville is seeking its first win of the season after Tuesday’s 4-0 defeat to Thomas County Central.
“We’re really inexperienced in some areas and that was exposed on Tuesday night,” McDougald said. “We’re coming off a year where we lost a lot of starters, but that’s high school sports.”
