TOP COACH

THOMASVILLE — It was a memorable season for Cairo coach Tom Fallaw.

The Syrupmakers won the Region 1-AAAA championship and extended their overall region winning streak to 23 games. Fallaw's last win of 2012, a 24-13 victory over Riverdale in the first round of the state playoffs, was the 100th of his career.

Once again, Fallaw was rewarded for Cairo's 9-3 season by being named the Times-Enterprise Coach of the Year.

See Sunday's edition for more details.
