Thomasville rolls in swimming

THOMASVILLE — Thomasville's swim team competed in a four-team meet on Wednesday.

Thomasville's girls swam past Westover, Albany and Dougherty. Thomasville won with 92 points, beating Westover's 71.

Thomasville's boys was tops with 92 points, beating Westover's 60 and Albany's 31.

Thomasville's Megan Harding, Mattison Higginbotham and Caitlin Rollock topped the girls individual standings with 14 points each. The three were part of the Lady Bulldogs' winning 200-meter medley relay team and winning 200-meter freestyle relay team. Higginbotham also won the 200-meter individual medley and 100-meter butterfly. Harding won the 50-meter freestyle and 100-meter backstroke. Rollock placed first in the 100-meter freestyle and 100-meter breaststroke.

Thomasville's Ryan Davis, Sam Tabacchi and Andy Alekseichuk each tied atop the boys standings with 14 points each. The trio were part of the winning team in the 200-meter medley relay. Tabacchi and Davis were also together in the 400-meter freestyle relay team that placed first, joining Trey Higginbotham and Walker Harris. Tabacchi also placed first in the 100-meter backstroke and 200-meter individual medley. Davis won the 200-meter freestyle and 100-meter butterfly. Alekseichuk won the 50-meter freestyle and 100-meter breaststroke.
