TU softball returns after 12 day hiatus

THOMASVILLE —

The Lady Night Hawks softball squad returns to the diamond on Friday after its first hiatus of the season.

Thomas played its first 13 games in 14 days before taking a 12 day pause.

The Lady Night Hawks dropped six of their first seven before winning four of their next six. They now sit at 5-8 heading into Friday’s road contest at Auburn-Montgomery.

“We just didn’t execute one or two plays in a few of those [losses] and that cost us,” coach Bill Wilson said last week. “We’re getting better and will continue to get better as time goes on.”

The Lady Night Hawks return to Armory Field for the first time in a month in Wednesday’s doubleheader against Coastal Georgia.
